Throughout the years I was looking for anything to repair what damage had been done and I felt like most products have fallen short. With so many brands out there it’s super hard to find one let alone a system that truly and consistently works, allowing you to receive desired results every time you use it. I’ve gone through so much trial and error throughout the years with testing different products, thinking I’ve found the one and not quite hitting the mark, but the search is finally over. Here is a list of the products I have been using for over a year and half now, that have genuinely produced results when it comes to improving the health, quality and growth of my hair. I’ve come a long way on my hair journey and these products have made me grow a new appreciation for my hair and for the products themselves so I will share with you my go to’s!
If you haven’t been told yet that Olaplex is the ONE then I am here to tell you, IT IS THE ONE! I swear to you, these products are what hair dreams are made of. When I started using Olaplex my hair was so dry and brittle mainly from heat damage. Since I have thick, curly hair with different textures and curl patterns, I found it almost impossible to get the desired look I wanted without causing damage. This system has not only restored my hair to such a healthy look and feel but it’s grown more in the last year than ever and I can only credit it to this system and the additional products that have become apart of my haircare routine. Also, I’m convinced thanks to Olaplex, my curls have started to reestablish their pattern from the protection from and lack in frequent need of heat products. I’m actually enjoying wearing my hair curly again. Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about this line.
The No. 3 is a game changer for me, it’s a hair mask that you leave on before you shower and wash your hair. I would say that I use this a few times a month, I literally just used the last of it with another bottle on the way. A little bit goes a long way. All I do is hang my head in the shower or you can use a sink/tub to wet my hair, comb the mask through and let it sit for a minimum of 10 minutes. I will usually continue with whatever I’m doing in the morning or else I will sit and watch an episode of Summer House while letting it sit. Regardless of what you chose to do in the meantime, I’m telling you, it’s an ultimate game changer and a must have for repairing damaged hair. I follow that up with the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, absolute chef’s kiss.
Ouai, I need to try more products from them but this hair mask has magic powers. I probably use this anywhere from two to four times a month or if my hair is looking particularly parched and in need of a deep condition. I bought this on a whim at Sephora and I’m still on my first tub but this mask works wonders, I typically use this on any day I’m planning on straightening my hair. I love the thick formula and how my hair feels after blow drying let alone the final product with the combination of Olaplex products.
I use this every time I wash my hair before blow drying without fail. Not only does it hydrate and adds an amazing shine to my hair, it also protects hair from heat up to 450 degrees so I’m convinced it’s really been aiding in the growth of my hair by protecting it from the heat that would’ve otherwise caused damage.
This ConAir Infiniti Pro was gifted to me a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I really wasn’t expecting that I was going to like this as much as I do but I’ve officially retired my old round brush and blowdryer. Not only is it super easy to use, it really cut my blowdrying time in half, the ceramic brush part feels as though it’s smoothing out the hair while also adding shine and reducing frizz. I’ve never been so impressed with a product before, I highly recommend if you’ve been wondering if this is worth the hype, I’m here to confirm, this is my new favorite hair tool I own.
The final cherry on top after I’ve straightened my hair is this Gisou honey infused hair oil. This one I saw all over TikTok towards mid to end 2020 and I was looking for a new hair oil so I thought why not? I need something that doesn’t weigh down my hair, has repairing properties and made with clean ingredients. I found all of that in Gisou hair oil, it’s amazing and comes highly recommended by me who uses it as often as possible! Love the smell
I swear by these products because these are the only products I consistently get the same results with, have aided in the growth of my hair and have seen nothing but improvements in the health of my hair. I will always be honest about what I’m using and what works for me. I’m always open to trying new products and adding to my routine but these products I know and love and would recommend to anyone trying to improve the quality of their hair.
