The other night I had planned to go to an event but due to my lack in ability to find parking and the fact that I was HANGRY, I moved up my reservation and held my friend prisoner in the car as we headed from Brentwood to West Hollywood. Thank god we did that because I was not in the state to socialize but in fact was in desperate need to stuff my face with goodness. When I say to you the Bottega Louie in Weho delivered, trust me on it. Situated on a very busy block at Santa Monica Blvd and Robertson Blvd tucked between Pump and TomTom in a prime location makes it a great start to a night or an amazing one and done spot. Already a fan, I used to make a day of venturing to Downtown Los Angeles solely to visit Bottega for lunch, when I found out that they were opening another spot in Weho the excitement was real.

And let me tell you this new location does not disappoint! As we were walked through the interior of the restaurant to the back patio, I couldn’t help but notice how gorgeous everything was. The choices of marble and glass through out, the display of macarons in a cascading rainbow as you enter, the wood fired pizza area, even the guest, everything was just stunning. We stepped outside to the back patio where the warmth from the heat lamps and the warm inviting ambience made me forget we were outside. Our little table was so cute and our waitress was an absolute delight.

For drinks we started with their version of an espresso martini which was a great call. Love an espresso martini to start off, not too strong and a great pick me up but I can only have maybe 2 maximum then I usually switch to Prosecco. They brought bread and butter to the table and in my state of hunger it was so incredibly necessary. We decided to start off with an order of calamari. Perfectly fried and delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Exactly what I needed and in an instant they were gone.

I wanted to get something green in order to balance out our order (just makes me feel better sometimes) so we went with the brussel sprouts. Chef’s kiss. Maybe some of the best brussel sprouts I’ve had yet with gorgonzola cheese bits and walnuts. Perfection and a must try.

For the piece de resistance, we ordered the pepperoni pizza to share and y’all when I say there pizza is exquisite. I mean it. This is pizza I would be willing to drive over to pick up anytime as no convenient feat. Wood-fired to perfection with to die for mozzarella, perfectly thin crust yet pouffy breaded goodness at the end of the slice. They use my favorite pepperonis, genuinely don’t know what they’re called or where to find them but they’re small and thin and when they cook they curl up on the sides making tiny cups. I know that may seem crazy but they’re my absolute favorites so if you know what they’re called or where to find them for my own personal use, send it over or leave in the comments. Anyways, back to the pizza, I’m obsessed and it hit the spot. Unfortunately, it blocked me from the ability to order dessert but it was worth every bite, even the ones I didn’t need but gorged on anyway. SO good, SO worth it!

For dessert, I just wound things up with a glass of Prosecco and my friend Connor got himself an assortment of macarons to go. They have some of the most gorgeous, decadent desserts and we really did ourselves a disservice by not ordering any but my little stomach couldn’t hardly take anymore. Can’t wait to go back and bring more friends to experience the goodness that is Bottega Louie Weho.
